The problem is predicted reliability, with estimated two-year breakage rates of 25 percent,” Consumer Reports writes. Their survey results of owners indicate that about “25 percent of Microsoft laptops and tablets will present their owners with problems by the end of the second year of ownership.”

“A number of survey respondents said they experienced problems with their devices during startup,” the magazine continues. “A few commented that their machines froze or shut down unexpectedly, and several others told CR that the touch screens weren’t responsive enough.”

Aside from reliability issues, however, the Surface Pro scored highly in terms of performance in Consumer Reports lab tests.

Microsoft disagrees with the magazine’s findings and defended its Surface line’s reliability.

“Microsoft’s real-world return and support rates for past models differ significantly from Consumer Reports’ breakage predictability,” Microsoft tells Consumer Reports. “We don’t believe these findings accurately reflect Surface owners’ true experiences or capture the performance and reliability improvements made with every Surface generation.”

Which photographer still uses Microsoft products in 2017?

I mean I’m not a troll, I personally always had trouble with Windows computers back in the days. There was always something that broke down (hardware) and the software was simply a mess. Virusscanner, ad-aware removal whatever, register messed up (regcleaner made it even worse..) etc. etc.
All the secondary crap, that you don’t want to be busy with, is abundant.

Bought my first apple product in 2012; an iMac. Since then I never ever had any problems with Apple products or any brake-downs. I never looked back, and never have software issues. Those devices are just WORKING. I hear the same from people around me, and all the clients that I visit (mostly creative businesses/design/architects) all work on iMacs and other Apple products. The Mac Pro was a total failure, but the updated last iMac is a beautiful workhorse.

Sounds like you bought a sh*tty bloatware filled pc, don’t blame your own stupidity on the operating system.

I use both Mac and windows on a daily basis and they are pretty equal in terms of problems – the only difference is that the mac computers are nigh impossible to troubleshoot, and just decide to freeze/die when there’s a problem.
